Practice Focus
Ada Chan focuses her practice on estate and tax planning, probate matters and elder law. She tailors individual estate plans to advance family goals and assists clients with contested and uncontested probate, trust, guardianship and Medicaid matters. She advises clients on the administration of trusts and estates and prepares pleadings in connection with estate litigation matters, including those pertaining to turnover proceedings, removal of fiduciaries, and accounting proceedings, and handles various guardianship proceedings appointing Guardian of the Person and/or Property.
After being admitted to practice law in New York State, Ada continued her studies at University of Arkansas School of Law and received a Master of Laws in Agricultural and Food Law.
A native New Yorker and child of Chinese immigrants, she is bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
